ScubaOS is a place for divers to log and share dives. When you post — a dive, a photo, a comment — these guidelines apply. The rule of thumb is simple: keep it legal, keep it kind, and keep it your own.
Don't post
- Anything illegal, or content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises children. We have zero tolerance — see our Child Safety Standards.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate directed at people based on who they are.
- Sexual content, graphic violence, or shock content.
- Content that isn't yours to post — copyrighted material, or someone else's private information, without permission.
- Other people's faces or details shared without their consent.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate or break the Service.
- Dangerous misinformation presented as dive-safety guidance.
Reporting
Every post and comment can be reported from inside the app, and you can block any user so you no longer see each other. Reports go to a moderator for review.
What happens when something breaks the rules
We may remove content, limit its reach, or suspend or remove the account responsible. Serious or illegal content may be reported to the relevant authorities. Decisions are made by a human reviewing the report; the technical floor (automated checks) is there to catch the most obvious cases.
