Is the free plan really free?
Yes. The dive log, kit tracking and quick-slate planning are free forever, with no ads and no selling your data. Plus and Pro add the full planner, share-card export, and cloud or server sync — never required to log or plan.
What's the difference between Plus and Pro?
Plus is a one-time purchase that adds the full decompression planner, share-card export, your-own-cloud backup and your first group. Pro is a subscription that adds cross-device sync through the ScubaOS server, up to five groups and more posting.
Do I need an account?
No. The logbook and planner work fully offline with no account. An account only adds cross-device sync and the optional social feed, and is only ever asked for when you buy a plan or post.
Is Plus a one-time payment?
Yes — pay once and the planner, export and own-cloud backup are yours. Pro is the only subscription, for cross-device sync and a larger community footprint.
Can I try the planner before buying?
Free includes quick-slate, no-stop planning so you can feel how it works. The full ZHL-16C decompression planner — gradient factors, trimix, deco schedules — is part of Plus.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. Plus is billed once; Pro is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time from your store account, keeping access until the period ends.
Is my data private?
Local-first by design. Your log lives on your device; sync is opt-in through your own cloud or server; shared dives fuzz their exact site and strip photo location. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I rely on it for decompression?
No software can guarantee a safe dive. ScubaOS is a planning aid — always dive within your training and trust your certified dive computer in the water.
