Your log lives
on your device.
No account required to log and plan. Sync, if you want it, runs through your own cloud — or your own server. When you share a dive, its exact site is fuzzed for everyone but you, and photo location is stripped.
It works with nothing but your phone.
ScubaOS is built local-first: every dive, plan and piece of kit lives on your device in a fast local database. There's no sign-up wall, no connection needed on the boat, and nothing leaves your device until you choose. Sync is an option you switch on — never a requirement.
No account to log
Open the app and start logging. An account only exists for sync and the community feed.
Fully offline
The boat has no signal and that's fine. Logging and planning never touch the network.
Yours to export
Your whole log exports in an open format, any time. No lock-in, no hostage data.
Three ways to keep your dives.
Sync is layered, so you choose how much — and whose infrastructure — you trust. Stay entirely on-device, mirror through a cloud you already own, or run the full cross-device sync through the ScubaOS server.
You decide exactly what's shown.
Sharing is per-dive and deliberate. Choose who sees it, how precisely its location appears, and trust that the boring-but-important details — like the GPS buried in a photo — are handled for you.
- Public, followers-only or private — per dive
- Exact site fuzzed to a rough area, or hidden entirely
- Photo location data stripped before anything is uploaded
Private by default, and it stays that way.
No surveillance business model hiding behind a dive app. ScubaOS makes its money from people who choose to pay for more — not from your data.
- Free at the core
- No ads
- We don't sell your data
- Local-first & offline
- Open export, no lock-in
- Self-host the server if you want
Keep your dives, your way.
